The Practice/Adoption of Occult/Pagan Rituals in Christianity

It has been a long-time sense I have written, and I ask forgiveness, in that I gave in to the stronghold of intimidation. I felt unworthy, not because Father has kept me from writing but because I felt I would not be able to impress/influence those who read what I have been given to say. It is not my responsibility to influence, only to obey. Neither am I to seek inspiration, encouragement or the accolades of man. I have sought and received forgiveness from Father. So, I will join Paul in saying, 'I pray you will not hate me for telling you the truth' (my paraphrase).

I come back again to Revelation 19:7-8 (Complete Jewish Bible) “Let us rejoice and be glad! Let us give him the glory! For the time has come for the wedding of the Lamb, and his Bride has prepared herself — fine linen, bright and clean has been given her to wear.” The time is short and we must make ourselves ready! We need to be preparing ourselves in righteousness, holiness and purity as Christ was our example. For too long we have been at ease with the traditions derived from unholy rituals, 'holy' days and man-made celebrations, forsaking the feasts God has called us too. The feasts our Christ kept. Today is a high feast for those who follow Satan, paganism and self-worship. We act as if it is 'just a fun day for the children'. I live in a state with a large population of pagans, witches and Satan worshipers. What are we to say to those who have come out of these strongholds, turning their lives over to Christ, becoming new creatures? Shame on those who, hundreds of years ago, embraced and mingled the occult with Christianity so it would be easier for new converts to accept the 'demands' of Christianity. They cause millions to continue in slavery and under the influence of the father of lies. Do we believe we are less accountable to our God, Elohim, than the Israelites who adopted the ways of the gentiles they lived among? Never did Jesus tell us to embrace the ways of the pagan gods! Read Ezekiel chapters 6-11 and may God open your eyes. Every time I read these passages I weep and beg Father to forgive our foolishness.

God is VERY clear about how He feels about our mixing His ways with those of the ungodly: Exodus 23:24 (Amplified Version) You shall not bow down to worship their gods, nor serve them, nor do [anything] in accordance with their practices. You shall completely overthrow them and break down their [sacred] pillars and images [of pagan worship].

Deuteronomy 18:9-14 Spiritism Forbidden 9 “When you enter the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable (repulsive) practices of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or daughter pass through the fire [as a sacrifice], one who uses divination and fortune-telling, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who casts a charm or spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or a necromancer [who seeks the dead]. 12 For everyone who does these things is utterly repulsive to the Lord; and because of these detestable practices the Lord your God is driving them out before you. 13 You shall be blameless (complete, perfect) before the Lord your God. 14 For these nations which you shall dispossess listen to those who practice witchcraft and to diviners and fortune-tellers, but as for you, the Lord your God has not allowed you to do so.

Leviticus 19:26-31: ‘You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor practice divination [using omens or witchcraft] or soothsaying. 27 You shall not trim and round off the side-growth of [the hair on] your heads, nor mar the edges of your beard. 28 You shall not make any cuts on your body [in mourning] for the dead, nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves; I am the Lord. 29 ‘Do not profane your daughter by making her a prostitute, so that the land will not fall to prostitution and become full of wickedness. 30 You shall keep My Sabbaths and revere My sanctuary. I am the Lord. 31 ‘Do not turn to mediums [who pretend to consult the dead] or to spiritists [who have spirits of divination]; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.

I know people who have been ritually abused by the occult. My girlfriend, a Christian, laughs at me when I have to have my husband kill a spider for me. She had to learn to not fear them as she was shut up in a box with hundreds of spiders. Girls impregnated to have their babies aborted and sacrificed (see notes). We need to come out of our shelters and open up to the realities of these 'holy' days which are not holy but abominations. We have dressed them up and given them 'new' symbolism; they just masks so Satan can have his worship. Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan, said: "I am glad that Christian parents let their children worship the devil at least one night out of the year. Welcome to Halloween."

We are to pursue holiness, being yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit as we follow Christ. Christ being all God and all man surrendered Himself to be empowered by, communicate with and walk in holiness as a man. He emptied Himself of his deity so He could be our perfect example. We do not strive for holiness to receive accolades for ourselves but to point to Yahweh. If we are followers of Christ, why do we not keep the moedem/appointed times as He did? Why do we continue to embrace any practices, brought over by those who were saved out of ancient paganism (most of which are still kept by modern day pagans/Satanists/followers of the occult)?

The appointed times/feasts of God are Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruit (see note below), Pentecost, Trumpets, Day of Atonement & Tabernacles. Satan has a false occasion for all of those Yahweh has called us to keep. The ones we most commonly embrace are Saturnalia, Yule, Asherah, Samhaim ... You would know them as Christmas (combination of Saturnalia & Yule), Easter & Halloween. Simple research of these can be done online. What is even more disturbing to my spirit is when I speak to Christians who tell me they know about them being pagan practices, but that is not what we have come to know them as. Okay, what does Gold tell us about how He sees these 'harmlessly' incorporated into our lives.

The Feast of First Fruits:

Leviticus 23:9-11 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land which I am giving you and reap its harvest, you shall bring the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest. He shall wave the sheaf before the Lord so that you may be accepted; the priest shall wave it on the day after the Sabbath/Day 7 (Saturday).

Notes:

Christ was always going to rise on Sunday/Day 1 of the week. He had to fulfill the 'appointed' time. Just as He fulfilled Pesach/Passover, Unleavened Bread. The first Pentecost Israel became a nation; after our First Fruit on Pentecost believers became the Church with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. These are considered the spring feasts. The fall feasts are yet to be fulfilled, except for the first day of Tabernacles which is when Messianic Christians celebrate Christ's birth.
